Procurement & Third Party Risk Management, Manager

Location: New York

Team: Finance, FP&A

We are looking for a results-driven, high-performing Manager to establish a new Procurement and Third Party Risk Management function. You’ll take the lead in sourcing events, negotiating contracts, assisting with RFPs for vendor selection, and optimizing vendor spend across the organization. In addition, you will spearhead the design and implementation of a third party risk management framework to protect the firm, reduce risks and meet regulatory requirements typical in a highly regulated financial services industry.

This role is perfect for a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently, proactively and most importantly, is comfortable being the first to establish and implement new processes. You’ll need to work with a wide range of stakeholders to support all departments in managing third party risk, and you’ll excel in building trusted relationships to deliver on these goals.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to bring deep industry experience in strategic sourcing and risk management, with a strong grasp on best practice methodologies to support our objectives. Experience implementing ZIP and operationalizing a risk management framework will be advantageous. You’ll report directly to the Director of FP&A and be responsible for working closely with our various Finance functions as well as other cross‑functional leaders to build out a sustainable and effective sourcing strategy.

This role has a broad scope and offers excellent opportunities to grow at FalconX and become a trusted business partner to the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy – Drive cost savings across the company through negotiating contracts, consolidating vendors, and process improvements to drive efficiency savings.
  • Streamline Vendor Management – Review and approve all new vendor requests and manage the full end‑to‑end onboarding process, ensuring an efficient and timely process for stakeholders.
  • Negotiation of New Contracts – Confidently manage relationships with new vendors and negotiate terms to deliver the best possible agreement for the company.
  • Monitoring of Third Parties – Track all renewals, negotiate new rates when necessary, and manage off‑boarding procedures to protect the firm from potential risks to business continuity.
  • Analysis and Reporting – Design and implement reporting to track third‑party vendors, monitor cost savings, manage risks, and ensure all vendor records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Process Enhancements – Participate in the new Procure‑to‑Pay system implementation, providing input on best‑practice workflows and optimization to reduce onboarding time and vendor management.
  • Support All Stakeholders – Provide hands‑on assistance such as running the full RFP process, training system users, and ensuring cross‑functional management of vendor risk.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations, and third‑party risk management with demonstrable results.
  • Confident negotiation skills with a track record of delivering savings and best contract terms for a variety of vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to run multiple contracts, negotiations and vendor conversations concurrently.
  • Experience creating end‑to‑end policies and procedures and implementing rollout of new frameworks across an organization.
  • Comfortable working in a small team and collaborating across Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Security as needed.
  • Enthusiastic self‑starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and independent management of work streams.

Base pay for this role is expected to be between $157,000 – $199,000 USD for a Manager level in the New York City Area. The base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other compensation such as performance‑linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
