Jefferson’s Ferry is a Life Plan community and a unique concept. It provides Independent Living and a comprehensive retirement living option for adults over the age of 62 by offering an Active Adult Community, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care and Memory Care, all centrally located on one campus.

This is more than an activities role—it's a chance to shape the heartbeat of a vibrant community. From wellness initiatives and fitness programs to cultural arts, special events, and lifelong learning, you'll design experiences that bring people together and make every moment worthwhile.

In this role, you will:
  • Build and lead a dynamic program of recreational, educational, cultural, wellness, and fitness for social and community events from concept to completion.
  • Guide resident committees (Social Activities, Public Affairs, Education, Library, Garden).
  • Oversee a robust fitness and wellness program—group fitness, aquatics, dance, strength, and personal training.
  • Coordinate outings, guest speakers, entertainers, and community partnerships.
  • Promote programs through digital platforms, calendars, and information flyers.
  • Provide AV, video and tech support for community events and programs.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of wellness staff.
  • Manage budgets and maintain program records and metrics.
We require:
  • Associate's degree or 3+ years of experience in recreation, event planning, hospitality, fitness, wellness, performing arts, and senior services
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and events at once
  • Strong tech skills across digital platforms and software
  • Great communication skills with residents and staff alike
  • A genuine passion for engaging older adults and creating meaningful experiences
  • Strong organizational and budgeting skills
  • Confidence with public speaking and facilitation

Creative problem-solving instincts and a calm, steady presence
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience in senior living, hospitality, performing arts or community programming
  • Supervisory or management experience

An EOE m/f/d/v.
