Location: New York

Job Summary

Hybrid position that involves operational responsibilities for both ticketed events such as concerts and shows as well as special events, both private and corporate.

Responsibilities
  • Manage facility operations and maintenance, including front of house, preventive maintenance, third-party contracting, staffing, and venue set-up/tear-down.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise part-time staff/supervisors across Security, Maintenance, Cleaning, and Usher/Ticket Taker departments.
  • Maintain and monitor incident reports, investigate pending cases, interview staff or witnesses, and attend arbitration hearings when necessary.
  • Ensure optimum operating condition of facility equipment such as traffic control and crowd-control devices.
  • Implement and execute Live Nation policies, procedures and programs, ensuring company standards are met.
  • Create and implement recruiting programs for seasonal event staff.
  • Manage event staff onboarding and training, including in-sourced positions.
  • Oversee training programs and ongoing development of event staff.
  • Commit to providing a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees.
  • Coordinate approved subcontractors and third-party vendors for safe, efficient, and successful events.
  • Oversee execution of operating department compliance policies and procedures.
  • Execute, service, and detail assigned events once booked by the Special Events Department.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Special Events Sales Team, distributing internal and external correspondence.
  • Assist department team members with Information Systems support.
  • Coordinate all aspects of operational set-up and breakdown of events (equipment, rental, station set-up) and act as liaison between clients and LN team members throughout the event.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific venue standard).
  • Assist in all aspects of the Special Event once the Special Event Order (SEO) has been distributed.
  • Conduct site inspections and walk-throughs with clients as requested by DOS.
  • Assist Sales Manager(s) as requested with special client needs.
  • Participate in meetings such as the SEO Meeting and Production Meeting.
  • Work varying schedules reflecting the business needs of the venue.
  • Maintain files in proper order after the SEO has been distributed.
Qualifications
  • Proven leader with strong management and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of venue operations and facility management.
  • Experience dealing with police and public officials.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff, ideally Security, Ticket Takers, and Ushers.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Workday or time-keeping systems is a plus.
Pay

Compensation: $61,000.00 USD - $77,000.00 USD (based on market, location, qualifications, skills, and experience).
