Role OverviewThe Manager, LA28 Platinum Access Business Development is responsible for proposal development and account management within the On Location Custom Product Development and Sales Strategy initiative. The role focuses on the IOC and LA 2028, curating customized products and building operational structures to support the program. The Manager works cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, legal, and operations to exceed client expectations and create efficient processes.
EssentialFunctions & Responsibilities
- Business Operations:
Establish and implement technology initiatives to enhance efficiency, maintain relationships with functional areas, and stay informed on commercial product offerings, venue logistics, cultural experiences, and inventory management. - Business Development:
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, UWHIs, and VIPs; develop sales strategies, budgets, proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and negotiate contracts to secure optimal rates. - Account Management:
Coordinate with Program Management on feasibility, analyze post‑event financials, review client surveys, maintain client records in Salesforce and Optimo, and ensure brand quality standards. - Team Management:
Provide one‑on‑one coaching, performance management, training, and process improvement, fostering a continuous quality improvement culture and a customer‑first approach. - Travel & Scheduling:
Adapt to a travel schedule that may include international travel and extended periods in host cities, with 15‑20% annual travel and 1‑2 months of continuous travel for key events.
Must be adaptable to work and travel schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods in host cities. Expected travel is 15‑20% annually with 1‑2 months of continuous travel during rights‑holder events.
Required Education, Experience & Skills- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Development, Account Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7+ years in a management position, preferably B2B or within the travel and hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Airtable, Keynote, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Proven record of building and maintaining client relationships and managing complex corporate accounts.
- Experience with B2B, corporate groups, high‑touch guest services, or event operations.
- Hands‑on ability to execute customized solutions for B2B and corporate clients.
- Knowledge of the entertainment landscape, including sports, fashion, culinary, and cultural verticals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, time‑management, and supervisory skills.
- Strategic thinker with creativity and logistical expertise to deliver results under pressure.
- Fluent in English (written and oral); proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese is a plus.
- Experience with international, Olympic, World Cup, or major sporting events.
Competitive salary ranging from $71,250 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
