Position Summary
To assist the AVP and Directors with project status presentation packages, preparing project profiles; aggregate project data/information for CPM’s website; assist PMs with projects; help with archiving documents; assist with setting up a GIS platform for asset management; advance signage & way finding for Baker Field Campus standard.
Responsibilities- Site visits to various campus buildings to record and verify as‑built conditions and reconcile field information with record files.
- Work with Project Managers by visiting renovation projects under construction to determine solutions for accommodating users and research components and/or furnishings.
- On‑site verification regarding use, occupancy, spatial configuration, and spatial metrics.
- Prepare project profiles of key/priority projects.
- Prepare material for updating CPM website information.
- Prepare concepts and update drawings using digital tools.
- Update documentation as required, coordinating with other stakeholders to reconcile information in the database.
- Assist with review of consultant, vendor, and other SME lists.
- Assist AVP/Directors in preparing project status presentation packages for Senior leadership meetings and governance processes.
- Regularly meet with AVP, Directors, Project Managers, and other stakeholders regarding project material requirements.
- On behalf of AVP and Directors follow up with external partners concerning invoices, payments, and other required material.
- Assist with project close‑out punch lists.
- Other duties as assigned by the AVP.
- GSAPP graduate student in their final year. Discipline in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or Preservation.
- Familiarity with the Planning, Design, and Construction industry is an asset.
- Previous professional experience in a design environment is an asset.
- Student casual employees:
During the Summer semester, in accordance with the Student Casual Employment Policy, student casual employees must not exceed 35 hours per week across all positions, in line with the standard work week and hours policy.
