Job Purpose
At Sony Music Publishing, we are executing a focused, multi-year program to reshape our core technology and business processes. This initiative will prepare our systems for rapid adoption of emerging technologies like AI and equip our operations to handle increasing variety and complexity in the music business. We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Product Lead to help shape our future-state capabilities.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Product Strategy & Vision
:
Define and lead enterprise product strategy with the Transformation Office Lead, execute through planning, roadmap development, and lifecycle management. - Translate enterprise goals into an outcome‑driven product roadmap, ensuring a clear line from vision to execution.
- Champion discovery and validation to identify highest‑value business problems and validate solutions with business partners.
- Author and champion business cases, defining clear value propositions, ROI, and success metrics.
- Monitor business, market, and technology trends (including AI) to inform product strategy and propose new solutions.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Product Managers, fostering autonomy and accountability.
- Establish strong product development lifecycle, prioritization frameworks, and decision‑making standards.
- Bridge strategy and execution: translate business outcomes into actionable requirements and measurable KPIs.
- Align stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and partner with senior leaders and engineering teams.
- Deliver visible value incrementally, maintain trust across the organization, and measure outcomes through KPIs.
- Act as a hands‑on leader, unblocking teams, refining requirements, and resolving delivery risks when necessary.
- Credible roadmap execution translating enterprise strategy into delivered capabilities.
- Measurable business outcomes such as efficiency gains, cost savings, and risk reduction validating the business case.
- Increased adoption and reuse of enterprise capabilities across the business.
- Operational excellence with consistent standards, decision clarity, and financial discipline.
- 10+ years in product management with a proven track record of building and mentoring high‑performing teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strategic thinker capable of translating high‑level business strategy into concrete product roadmaps.
- Financially disciplined with strong business‑case development skills and experience on difficult value‑based trade‑offs.
- Transformation expert with a history of successful change delivery in risk‑aware, operational environments where user adoption matters.
- Hands‑on executor comfortable in details yet empowering teams and avoiding micromanagement.
- Influential partner with strong interpersonal skills for surfacing, prioritizing, and balancing stakeholder priorities.
- Data‑driven, leveraging design thinking and customer experience to inform decisions.
- Technically fluent with a solid understanding of modern product development and AI services in the product design lifecycle.
- Preferred: background in Music/Media or Financial Services industry.
- Periodic travel required and must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Intended workday: 7.5‑hour business day with occasional extended hours for evening and late‑night events.
