BNEF US Power Analyst

BloombergNEF (BNEF) is seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join our US power analysis team as a contractor. You will be based in our New York office as part of the US power team for BNEF – the world’s leading independent provider of analysis, tools, data and research to decision makers leading the future of energy. Our team of experts, spread across six continents, provides independent analysis and insight, working with the largest corporations across utilities and generation, oil & gas, equipment manufacturers, banking and finance, and government.

We need people who can work independently, show initiative to develop their own viewpoints, yet be collaborative with colleagues. You should not rely on the status quo, look for innovative yet pragmatic thinking, and be able to turn big ideas into real insights and impact.

• Work with our models to provide forecasts on the outlook for key power markets in the US
• Build and maintain datasets and models to further our understanding of short and medium term markets
• Deliver both quantitative and qualitative research, utilizing the Bloomberg Terminal to develop research and analysis
• Effectively communicate views and findings through reports, datasets, and client‑facing tools
• Together with other team members, identify topics of interest to clients, conduct research, and report on the findings in a timely manner
• Develop and implement market‑driving products, data sets, forecasts, and tools
• Collaborate with a high degree of professionalism with colleagues from different cultures and countries

Contract (6 months).

Location:

New York. Salary Range: 35–40 USD hourly.

As a contractor, the Company does not provide benefits directly to contingent workers/contractors and interns.
