Position Overview
The Mid-Hudson/Catskills Small Business Development Center (SBDC) seeks a knowledgeable and client-focused Business Advisor to support entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the region.
The role provides one‑on‑one counseling to clients at all stages, from start‑up to expansion, and may include local reimbursable travel and occasional evening hours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide confidential, in‑depth business counseling in areas including:
- Financial analysis and projections
- Business plan development
- Marketing strategies and market research
- Presenting topical seminars
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in private‑sector business, entrepreneurship, banking, finance, or a related technical assistance environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A starting hourly rate of $28.73. This position is contingent upon adequate funding.
