About Assured
Assured is transforming the infrastructure of U.S. healthcare using intelligent automation. We’re building an AI-native system of action for provider operations to automate the most painful parts of healthcare, starting with credentialing, licensing, and payer enrollment. These are slow, error‑po re processes that cost the healthcare system billions and delay patient care.
We’re backed by top Silicon Valley investors and trusted by the most innovative provider groups and health systems. This is a rare opportunity to join an elite team reimagining one of the most broken parts of healthcare—using cutting‑edge AI in the real world, at scale.
The RoleWe're looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to sit at the intersection of data, process, and AI, helping us build the systems that make Assured scale. This is not a coordinator role or a chief‑of‑staff role. It's a hands‑on, builder role for someone who is as comfortable writing a SQL query as they are running a cross‑functional project.
You’ll spend the majority of your time (60–70%) on analytical and AI/automation work: building reporting infrastructure, designing and deploying workflow automations, and turning messy operational data into insight. The rest of your time will go toward ops and strategy: supporting escalations, writing SOPs, coordinating across teams, and working directly with leadership on priority initiatives.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Operations and works closely with our Operations, Product, and Customer Success teams.
Responsibilities- Own the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and performance reporting infrastructure (Hex, Omni, Metabase, Looker, or equivalent)
- Define and track KPIs across credentialing, enrollment, and client operations
- Turn ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks
- Can write SQL & Python and work directly within our data warehouse to answer operational questions and surface trends
- Identify high‑leverage opportunities to automate manual workflows using AI and no‑code/low‑code tools
- Build, test, and deploy scrappy automations owning the full lifecycle from scoping through UAT and rollout to our distributed fulfillment team
- Partner with the Engineering, Product, and Design teams to evaluate and integrate new AI agents & tooling
- Document automation logic and maintain SOPs for deployed workflows
- Provide escalation support on complex operational issues, working with the Customer Success and Deployment teams to resolve and prevent recurrence
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects with direct business impact
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc strategic analysis and decision‑making frameworks
- Write and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and process documentation
- 2–5+ years of experience in a startup or consulting environment, with direct ownership of analytical, operational, or automation work streams
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards or reporting infrastructure, not just consuming them
- Genuine familiarity with AI and automation tools in an operational context (e.g., workflow automation platforms, LLM integrations, no‑code/low‑code builders). Surface‑level usage isn’t enough, we want to hear what you built and owned
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with messy, real‑world data
- Track record of working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and building structure where none existed
- Clear, structured communicator in writing, analysis, and meetings
- Healthcare tech, payer enrollment, credentialing, and/or RCM experience is a meaningful plus but not required
In your first 90 days, you’ll have shipped at least 2‑3 meaningful reporting or automation improvements, developed a clear picture of our operational data landscape, and earned the trust of your cross‑functional partners. Within 6 months, you’ll be running your own work streams end‑to‑end and helping set the analytical and automation roadmap for the ops team.
