Consumer Product Sales Sr. Lead – Customer Growth & Strategic Initiatives, Senior Vice President
The senior vice president is accountable for complex large professional disciplinary areas and is a strategic and execution‑oriented leader to build and scale new growth partnerships and monetization capabilities for our Personal Lending business.
This role will lead the evaluation, development, negotiation, and implementation of strategic partnership opportunities that expand access to credit and create incremental value for the franchise. The initial focus will be the development and implementation of a Forward Flow program, including the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding of third‑party lending partners.
This role sees new capabilities from concept to production bringing together business strategy, partnerships, product development, risk management, legal, finance, and operations.
This role reports directly to the Head of Customer Growth and will have good visibility with senior leadership.
Responsibilities- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that support growth objectives
- Develop market assessments and business cases for new partnership models and lending ecosystem opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with fintechs, lenders, marketplaces, and other external partners
- Lead partner evaluation, due diligence, and selection processes
- Define program objectives, economics, customer experience, governance, and success metrics
- Develop scalable operating models that support long‑term program growth
- Build financial models and business cases to evaluate strategic opportunities
- Assess customer, revenue, risk, operational, and regulatory impacts
- Present recommendations and investment cases to senior executives and governance committees
- Define requirements, implementation plans, and target operating models
- Coordinate across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Accounting, Technology, Product, and Operations teams
- Monitor industry trends, fintech partnerships, emerging lending models, and competitive developments
- Ensure key metrics are met
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, consumer lending, business development, partnerships, product management, consulting, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross‑functional strategic initiatives
- Experience developing business cases and presenting recommendations to executive leadership
- Strong financial analysis, business modelling, and strategic planning capabilities
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational alignment
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Clear communication skills and the ability to represent the organisation with leaders of partner organisations
- Bachelor’s/University degree;
Master’s degree preferred
