Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: New York
We’re seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist for a 6-month temporary assignment to lead high‑impact regulatory projects in connection with Match Group’s portfolio of brands. Primary responsibilities will include leading complex regulatory writing and compliance documentation projects. Additional responsibilities include translating regulatory requirements into product implementation options for product, engineering, and data scientist audiences.
This role is primarily focused on producing clear, defensible, regulator‑ready written materials—including risk assessments, compliance narratives, and formal responses to regulatory inquiries. You will operate as a senior individual contributor, leading projects end‑to‑end. Beyond documentation, we’re looking for a hands‑on change maker who can identify the next steps needed to meet both the letter and spirit of evolving global regulatory requirements, and convey those next steps to product teams.
This role requires exceptional writing skills and judgment. You’ll translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences, and compliance concepts for technical audiences. You should be comfortable working independently with open‑ended projects, and engaging with highly sensitive subject matter (with potential exposure to sensitive visual content) as part of the Trust & Safety team.
How you’ll make an impact- Produce and lead high‑quality regulatory documentation, including risk assessments
- Use AI tools in concert with thorough human review to enhance outcomes
- Partner closely with legal and privacy stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of all written materials
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to advise on operationalizing regulatory requirements into product features and system design
- Synthesize inputs from multi‑stakeholder teams into cohesive narratives
- Support preparation for regulatory inquiries and external engagements
- Contribute to Safety by Design initiatives, ensuring documentation accurately reflects system behavior and risk mitigation approaches
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, Trust & Safety, public policy, legal, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on regulatory or policy writing
- Familiarity with major global safety regulations affecting Trust & Safety
- Comfort working with AI tools like Anthrophic’s Claude
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured documents on complex topics
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Proven ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into product or operational changes
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside multi‑stakeholder teams
- High degree of independence, ownership, and judgment
- Comfort working with sensitive or potentially disturbing content as part of Trust & Safety workflows
