Why Charlie Health?

Millions of people across the country are navigating mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, but too often, they’re met with barriers to care. From limited local options and long wait times to treatment that lacks personalization, behavioral healthcare can leave people feeling unseen and unsupported.

Charlie Health exists to change that. Our mission is to connect the world to life‑saving behavioral health treatment. We deliver personalized, virtual care rooted in connection—between clients and clinicians, care teams, loved ones, and the communities that support them. By focusing on people with complex needs, we’re expanding access to meaningful care and driving better outcomes from the comfort of home.

As a rapidly growing organization, we’re reaching more communities every day and building a team that’s redefining what behavioral health treatment can look like. If you’re ready to use your skills to drive lasting change and help more people access the care they deserve, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

Charlie Health is seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and data‑driven Strategy & Operations Associate to join our Care Strategy team. In this role, you’ll focus on improving the group‑based care experience—from how clients are matched to groups, to how we plan capacity, retain clinicians, and deliver consistently high‑quality care at scale.

You’ll work closely with Clinical Leadership, Group Operations, Product, and Data teams to design systems and strategies that balance client outcomes, clinician experience, and operational sustainability. This role sits at the center of how Charlie Health delivers care day‑to‑day.

We’re a team of passionate, forward‑thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life‑saving solutions. If you’re inspired by our mission and energized by the opportunity to increase access to mental healthcare and impact millions of lives in a profound way, apply today.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and improve the group care experience, including client‑to‑group matching, attendance, engagement, and outcomes
  • Build forecasting and capacity models to support group planning, clinician utilization, and sustainable growth
  • Partner with Clinical and Operations leaders to identify drivers of clinician retention, performance, and satisfaction—and design strategies to improve them
  • Design and implement scalable processes, systems, and workflows that improve care delivery efficiency and consistency
  • Evaluate trade‑offs between client experience, clinician capacity, and operational constraints to inform strategic decision‑making
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives across Care Ops, Clinical, Product, and Engineering teams to implement new programs, tools, or care models
  • Develop dashboards, performance tracking, and executive‑ready materials to communicate insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Support experimentation around group structure, scheduling, staffing models, and care pathways
Requirements
  • At least 2–4+ years of relevant professional experience, including 1–2 years in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or at a high‑growth start‑up
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced analytical skills—you're fluent in Excel and comfortable building models from scratch; SQL or BI tool experience (Tableau, Hex, Power BI) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work streams concurrently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to operate independently in fast‑paced environments
  • Resourceful problem solver with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights; experience with healthcare analytics is a plus
  • Located within a 45‑minute commute of New York City and able to work on‑site four days per week
