Grade Level: 12. Credit Ratings is part of Global Ratings Services. The North America infrastructure practice is growing rapidly; the role involves working on complex structures in power, midstream, refining and digital infrastructure to support S&P Global Ratings’ coverage.
Key responsibilities include contributing to senior credit analysis, coaching junior analysts, improving playbooks and AI adoption, delivering high‑quality analytical outputs, and engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities- Act as senior reference point coaching research assistants, rating analysts, and senior analysts on credit fundamentals, modeling discipline, data quality, and standard work including AI as an enabler.
- Coordinate work across credits, anticipate capacity and quality risks, and influence outcomes through planning and constructive challenge in ambiguous situations.
- Embed continuous improvement into routines by enhancing playbooks, SOPs, and prompt libraries, and driving adoption.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and shape high‑impact use cases, supporting testing, adoption, rollout with governance, controls, and change management.
- Foster a critical‑thinking mindset, challenge assumptions and the status quo to generate insights that shape market views and strategic decisions.
- Model enterprise behaviors—Discovery, Integrity, Partnership—including human‑centric leadership alongside AI‑enabled change.
- Deliver end‑to‑end analytical execution across a defined portfolio, setting a consistently high bar for quality, timeliness, and clarity to sustain customer trust.

- Own the quality of key outputs, ensuring consistency and clarity of reasoning.
- Use approved GenAI/LLMs to accelerate research, comparisons, and drafting.
- Operate effectively alongside AI agents in recurring workflows.

- Validate inputs, reconcile metrics, and document assumptions or model changes.
- Synthesise data, analysis, and research into executive‑ready, market‑facing narratives that convey S&P’s analytical expertise.
- Build collaborative stakeholder trust through empathetic communication, differentiating S&P’s market viewpoint, and driving engagement with market participants.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and thought leadership by researching, drafting, and refining content with senior team input.
- Ensure adherence to methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements, escalating emerging risks early.
- Embed responsible AI use in workflow processes.
- Drive controlled automation and agentic workflows to remove low‑leverage work, defining requirements and controls, and partnering with data and engineering to scale safely while monitoring and maintaining human oversight.
- Develop and articulate credit views and manage a portfolio of credits, preparing committee‑ready material and actively participating in rating committees for credits across various sectors of the North America infrastructure sector.
- Lead external analytical engagements and demonstrate service excellence, including preparing for and participating in management meetings, due‑diligence calls, and surveillance discussions.
- Contribute to sector expertise and support thought leadership through commentaries and sector publications, staying current on market developments.
- Execution maturity across credit portfolio; deliver high quality with limited oversight.
