Associate Director / Director of Operational Excellence
OverviewJoin Zeta, a network of schools dedicated to high academic achievement and social-emotional development, as we expand our network of elementary and middle schools across New York City. Zeta seeks a results‑oriented operations professional to support our growing Pre‑K‑8 model.
Location & Work ScheduleNetwork Office: 401 W 218th St., New York, NY 10034. Hybrid: in‑office Tuesdays–Thursdays; optional remote Mondays/Fridays.
Responsibilities- Remove roadblocks and barriers for Operations Teams through proactive problem‑solving.
- Project manage operational components of specific network‑wide initiatives to pursue operational excellence across schools.
- Lead the piloting of new, innovative systems across Zeta with the goal of creating scalable solutions across sites.
- Create strong, scalable, well‑documented systems for various components of school operations.
- Contribute to the leadership of the organization‑wide Operations team, including leading trainings and long‑term operational planning.
- Support teammates and take on new projects and tasks as needed as part of a lean start‑up team.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4‑6 years of experience in operations within schools or managing projects for a schooling organization.
- Strong project‑management skills and expertise in building operational systems.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams, train staff, and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
Salary range: $100,000 – $145,000. Eligible for an annual discretionary, merit‑based performance bonus.
