About the RoleTuring is seeking a Technical Business Analyst who can operate comfortably in two worlds at once: the day‑to‑day realities of Operations and Finance, and the practical constraints of building software. This is a role for someone who listens deeply, asks sharp questions, maps real workflows, and translates that understanding into clear, testable requirements that engineering teams can deliver with confidence.
You’ll join a global team supporting a leading alternative investment manager with more than 30 years of proven expertise across Private Equity, Credit, and Real Assets. The business is known for its integrated platform, strong investment performance, value‑oriented philosophy, and its people. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineers to reduce ambiguity, improve shared understanding, and accelerate delivery — without sacrificing quality or control.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead discovery with stakeholders to understand current‑state workflows, pain points, controls, and desired outcomes.
- Distill ambiguity into clarity by writing crisp problem statements, scope boundaries, assumptions, risks, and success measures.
- Translate business needs into delivery‑ready artifacts: process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional requirements.
- Partner with engineers and product owners to refine requirements, resolve tradeoffs, and keep execution unblocked.
- Support testing and validation by defining test scenarios, helping coordinate UAT, and ensuring delivered features match intent.
- Maintain traceability: align requirements to outcomes and support auditability where needed (controls, approvals, data lineage).
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis and documentation — summarization, drafting, comparison, and gap analysis — while validating accuracy and protecting sensitive information.
- Communicate clearly and consistently, sharing status, decisions, and open questions in a way that builds trust.
- A track record of leading business analysis or requirements work on real software delivery projects. We care more about the projects you’ve led and the outcomes you’ve driven than your exact years of experience.
- Strong discovery and requirements skills — you move from conversations to structured, testable requirements quickly.
- Comfort in technical discussions: APIs, data flows, basic system behavior, and knowing the right questions to ask engineers.
- Excellent written communication — your artifacts are clear, concise, and immediately usable by both engineering and business partners.
- Strong stakeholder management — you build rapport, handle conflict professionally, and create alignment without force.
- The ability to think in workflows and data: process mapping, edge cases, exceptions, and operational controls.
- High integrity and maturity — you are transparent, consistent, and trusted, especially under pressure.
- An independent operator who can own a project end to end with minimal oversight.
- Experience in operations, finance, accounting, or control‑oriented domains (reconciliations, reporting, hand‑offs, approvals).
- Familiarity with agile delivery (stories, backlogs, iteration planning), while staying comfortable in less mature environments.
- Experience working with data stores and queries (SQL basics), or partnering on reporting and…
