About the PositionClassic Stage Company is seeking a full‑time Individual Giving Manager
. This role will oversee and fulfill all cycles of individual giving, focusing on the Patron Program, which includes a donor portfolio of those who contribute $1,000 to $10,000. This position is a key member of a highly professional, fast‑paced, growing organization with increasing revenue goals. It reports directly to the Director of Development and collaborates closely with the Producing Artistic Director and Interim Managing Director to raise over $3M annually.
This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial‑minded and innovative professional in development or arts administration to support and grow a program within a contemporary theater business model.
- Serve as a front‑facing officer for qualified individual annual giving prospects, executing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
- Lead portfolio management efforts across the organization, monitor outstanding progress, and coordinate internal and external follow‑up as needed.
- Assist with pipeline, cultivation, and stewardship of capitalization campaign donors.
- Analyze donor capacity and affinity to prioritize opportunities for upgraded giving.
- Design engagement strategies for prospect pool, including private events and compelling communications.
- Oversee mailed and digital campaigns from concept to completion in collaboration with the Development Associate.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify new major gift prospects and pipeline development.
- Draft briefing materials for executive staff and volunteers.
- Manage stewardship processes and create personalized acknowledgments and renewal communications to deepen donor loyalty.
- Create reports to track prospect and donor performance.
- Oversee gift entry into Spektrix database and monthly reconciliation.
- Support organizational efforts for annual gala including ticket sales, Board relations, and more.
- Oversee season donor and fundraising events, including opening night receptions, Benefit Concerts or Readings, and other donor cultivation events.
- Assist in research and cultivation of event attendees.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years experience in fundraising, customer service, or marketing, preferably within a performing arts or cultural organization, along with excellent interpersonal skills and strong organizational abilities. They will be a collaborative and highly organized individual who thrives in a small‑team environment, exhibiting exceptional attention to detail alongside the flexibility, team orientation, and self‑motivation needed to prioritize and multitask effectively.
A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong donor research abilities, paired with a personable and timely communication style.
This candidate will bring at least two years of experience with donor CRMs and Microsoft Office, ideally including familiarity with Spektrix (CSC's CRM of choice) or a comparable fundraising platform; familiarity with ticketing functions and software is preferred. The ideal…
