The Team:

Credit Ratings is an integral part of the Global Ratings Services team, comprising a diverse group of 1,400 analysts spread across key financial hubs worldwide. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality insights and exceptional client service across all industry sectors.

The successful candidate will join the S&P Global Ratings’ Sovereign and International Public Finance (IPF) ratings team and work closely with the Chief Analytical Officer, Head of Sovereign and Multilateral Institutions Ratings, the Sector Leads and Chairs of the Global, Sovereign and regional IPF “Analytical Oversight and Consistency Councils” (AOCCs). The team manages high-profile government and public sector related credits, including multilateral financial institutions.

It assigns and monitors ratings, maintains high-quality analytical work, communicates with the market and stakeholders, and ensures the consistency of ratings across different asset classes in the practice. The team has a strong collegial, collaborative environment, and the position will provide exposure to senior stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities:

Team Contribution & Capability Building

  • Provide day-to-day guidance/coaching to Research Assistants and Rating Analysts, building capability in credit, data discipline, and tooling and reinforcing values-led behaviors.

  • Drive consistency/scalability by codifying standard work and promoting disciplined adoption to strengthen trusted, repeatable insights.

  • Strengthen AI-enabled productivity by creating reusable assets and proposing lightweight automationsthatfree capacity for human analysis and relationship work.

  • Foster continuous improvement by proposing enhancements that remove manual steps without compromising governance or judgement.

  • Partner with senior team members and Data/Engineering to identify and scale AI/automation use cases with governance-by-design, controls, and adoption support.

Core Analytical & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end execution for assigned credits, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely delivery across priorities with clear accountability.

  • Own surveillance/updates for assigned portfolio,synthesizing performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-useful insights and clear implications for risk.
