Position: Client Partner (Confidential Client)
Location: New York

We are supporting a global digital transformation and technology services organisation in hiring an account manager to own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across the financial services sector.

Acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior stakeholders, the individual will identify digital transformation opportunities across banking, payments, and P&C insurance and connect clients with the organisation’s consulting, engineering, technology, and delivery capabilities.

This is a senior, revenue-owning role that combines proactive business development with strategic account management. The successful candidate will be expected to drive multi-million-dollar engagements, expand existing relationships, and represent the organisation credibly within the financial services technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic financial services accounts.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders, including VP and C-suite executives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across digital transformation, software engineering, data and analytics, cloud, automation, and managed services.
  • Lead the complete commercial lifecycle, including account planning, opportunity identification, proposal development, RFP responses, commercial negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Drive both net-new client acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with delivery, consulting, pre-sales, solution architecture, legal, and finance teams to develop differentiated solutions and ensure successful execution.
  • Build a strong and sustainable pipeline, maintain CRM discipline, and provide accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Develop account growth plans aligned with clients’ strategic priorities and transformation agendas.
  • Stay current on financial services regulations, market trends, emerging technologies, and changing customer expectations.
  • Represent the organisation at relevant industry forums and contribute to market visibility and thought leadership.
Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing sales, business development, or strategic account management within IT services, consulting, digital engineering, fintech, or insurance technology.
  • Significant experience serving clients within one or more of the following areas: (1)
    Banking and financial services (2)
    Payments and transaction banking (3)
    Property and casualty insurance
  • Demonstrated success in originating, closing, and expanding multi-stakeholder engagements.
  • Proven experience selling digital transformation, technology consulting, software development, cloud, platform modernisation, or managed services.
  • Track record of managing multi-year engagements and deals of $1 million or more in annual contract value
    .
  • Established relationships with senior executives across banks, payment organisations, fintechs, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, or related financial institutions.
Preferred Domain Expertise

Candidates should bring strong expertise in at least one of the following areas:

Banking and Payments
  • Strong knowledge of the BFS payments landscape, with expertise in at least two areas: open banking, instant payments (Fed Now/RTP), ACH, cross-border payments, core banking modernisation, or card processing.
  • Familiarity with key regulations and industry initiatives, including PSD2, Fed Now, ISO 20022 migration, and SWIFT gpi.
  • Ability to engage both technology buyers (CTO, CIO) and business leaders (COO, Head of Payments).
Property & Casualty Insurance
  • Strong knowledge of the P&C insurance value chain, with expertise in at least two areas: policy administration, underwriting, claims, distribution and agency management, reinsurance operations, or insurance data and analytics.
  • Familiarity with core platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, and Sapiens, along with carrier modernisation journeys.
  • Understanding of personal, commercial, specialty, and surplus lines.
  • Awareness of emerging trends, including AI-driven underwriting, telematics, usage-based insurance, parametric products, climate-risk modelling, and Insur Tech partnerships.
  • Ability to engage both technology buyers (CTO, CIO) and business leaders (COO, Chief Underwriting Officer, Chief Claims Officer).
