Role & Purpose

J.Crew is seeking a Senior Product Owner – MP&A, Merchandising Analytics & AI Platforms to lead the evolution of the systems supporting Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Store Planning, Allocation, and Merchandising Analytics capabilities.

This role serves as the product and subject matter authority for enterprise planning,

allocation, merchandising analytics, and emerging AI-enabled platforms. The Senior Product owner will drive product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Working closely with business leaders, engineering teams, vendors, and analytics partners, this role will guide cross-functional discussions, prioritize enhancements based on business value, and help shape the future of merchandising and planning technology at J.Crew.

The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, retail domain expertise, technical fluency, and a hands-on approach to solving complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product roadmap for merchandising, planning, allocation, and analytics platforms.
  • Define and prioritize product backlogs, enhancements, defect resolution, and strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable product specifications and user stories.
  • Lead platform evolution efforts across systems including o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, legacy assortment tools, and emerging AI-enabled technologies.
  • Partner with internal engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Drive initiatives that improve analytics adoption, data trust, workflow efficiency, and operational decision-making.
  • Evaluate and support AI-enabled technologies that enhance merchandising and planning capabilities.
  • Facilitate alignment across Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Store Planning, Allocation, Analytics, and Technology teams.
  • Mentor and lead a small product and analytics team, supporting prioritization, development, and collaboration.
  • Support vendor relationships, delivery governance, and strategic platform investment decisions.
Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or enterprise application leadership roles.
  • This role is expected to be On-site 3 days a week
  • Experience supporting retail merchandising, planning, allocation, or analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS product management and roadmap leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex business environments.
  • Experience translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with planning platforms such as o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, or similar technologies preferred.
  • Exposure to analytics, AI-enabled technologies, or data-driven product environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in agile or product-led development environments preferred.
