The Strategy & Business Operations group is a Center of Excellence function within the Insurance Solutions & New Markets organization and is mandated to (1) define and articulate IS&NM's strategic vision, narrative, and priorities, (2) identify market opportunities and develop and operationalize go-to-market strategies, (3) oversee strategic inforce product management, (4) drive and govern business operating plans to meet growth and performance objectives, (5) facilitate strategic planning and business governance processes and routines, (6) provide business management and enablement support across IS&NM, (7) partner with enterprise Risk & Compliance to identify, monitor, and mitigate operational risks across our products & platforms portfolio, and (8) provide administrative support to IS&NMs leadership and their teams.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Support the strategy development process including framing current state of the business, structuring analysis & sizing of external and internal opportunities, and developing solution recommendations to meet growth and performance objectives.
Develop strategies to pursue new product and/or market opportunities including external trends, competitive benchmarks, go-to-market approaches, operating model options, partnership options.
Identify changes in market conditions, industry trends, regulatory environment, and macro-economic factors which may require changes to IS&NM’s strategy and business plan.
Structure and build quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategy and business plan development.
Leverage scenario planning, case studies, and modeling capabilities to strengthen strategy and business plan.
Support the creation of senior management materials (inclusive of Board, EC presentations).
Support IS&NM leaders and their teams in an Internal Consulting capacity on a range of business topics not limited to new products/markets, go-to-market, partnerships, and operating model topics.
Support development of IS&NM’s business plan, comprising in-year efforts and long-term initiatives, to operationalize IS&NM’s strategy and priorities.

Required Skills
5+ years experience in Business Strategy and Analysis
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience
Exceptional problem structuring and hypothesis-driven thinking
Ability to lead and deliver high-quality work streams independently under tight deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with a consistent track record of producing client-ready materials
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, executive-level insights
Preferred Skills
7+ years in Business Strategy and Analysis, past experience in a corporate strategy or product strategy role
Prior exposure to the retirement and insurance industry
Proven ability to manage up, across, and down in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Demonstrated capacity to handle ambiguity and operate with a high degree of autonomy
Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills

Anticipated Posting End Date:
Base Pay Range: $117,000/yr - $175,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
