Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York

Compulink Technologies is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Public Sector Sales Operations Coordinator to provide day-to-day operational support to the Contracts & Compliance Manager and the public-sector sales team. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the coordination and administrative work behind the sales process - including quotations, vendor follow-ups, bid documentation, internal trackers, contract files, and recurring reports - so that sales and contract leaders can focus on customer relationships, revenue opportunities, and strategic contract matters.

This is a hands-on sales operations and support role. It is not a commission-based sales position and does not require cold calling or independent business development. Prior experience with government procurement or technology resellers is helpful, but not required. Training will be provided on Compulink's contracts, vendors, systems, and internal processes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation and revision of customer quotations using manufacturer and distributor pricing.
  • Request and follow up on pricing, availability, lead times, special bid registrations, product substitutions, and other information needed by the sales team.
  • Maintain quote trackers, CRM records, opportunity updates, expiration dates, and follow-up reminders.
  • Assist with assembling government bid and proposal packages, including forms, certifications, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain organized contract files, compliance folders, customer records, vendor documentation, and shared electronic files.
  • Assist with recurring sales, contract, and compliance reporting using established templates and internal data.
  • Monitor shared inboxes and coordinate routine communications regarding pricing, order status, required documentation, and pending requests.
  • Follow up with internal team members, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to obtain missing information and keep assignments moving.
  • Organize and coordinate sales team priorities, open requests, deadlines, and follow-up activities to keep assignments moving and help ensure timely completion.
  • Support the Contracts & Compliance Manager and Account Managers with other administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • One to three years of experience in sales support, administration, procurement coordination, customer service, account support, or a related role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to track multiple assignments and deadlines at the same time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive work style and willingness to follow up until an issue is resolved.
  • Ability to learn new systems, products, contracts, and processes quickly.
  • Good judgment and willingness to ask questions when information or instructions are unclear.
  • Comfort working in a small, collaborative, fast-paced office environment.
Preferred, but Not Required
  • Experience supporting government, education, nonprofit, or other public-sector customers.
  • Experience preparing quotations, proposals, bids, purchasing documents, or recurring reports.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience working with technology manufacturers or distributors.
  • Basic familiarity with public-sector contracts or cooperative purchasing programs such as GSA, NYS OGS, OMNIA, or NASPO.
The Right Candidate

The strongest candidate may not already know every contract, vendor, or government purchasing process used by Compulink. We are looking for someone who is dependable, resourceful, detail-oriented, comfortable with routine follow-up, and able to learn new responsibilities quickly. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys organizing information, supporting a team, solving day-to-day operational issues, and making sure important tasks do not fall through the cracks.

What

Success Looks Like
