Job Title: Hospitality Intern – Business Operations

Schumacher & Co. is seeking a summer intern for the Schumacher Hospitality brand. This New York City-based intern will help grow Schumacher’s strong brand position within the growing Hospitality and Contract sectors. The position will engage in responsibilities that fall under sampling efforts, sales and marketing initiatives, and order processing of Schumacher products.

Hours:

Flexible, 20–30 hours Monday–Friday

• Partner closely with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams to support clients.
• Process memo orders and project shops for the Hospitality team.
• Cut and label custom Hospitality fabrics and wall coverings for designer approval.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to execute key initiatives and tasks for the department’s growth.
• Assist with operations and logistical tasks as needed.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor’s degree and have a competitive GPA.
• Successful multi‑tasker comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to be both collaborative and self‑sufficient to meet and exceed business needs.
• Great interest (passion preferred) for interior design and creativity.
• Knowledgeable or interested in textiles, wall coverings, and hospitality markets.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Quick comprehension of online software.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, fearless, and positive.
• Eager to be a team player and learn along the way.

Salary Range: $20–$20 USD
