Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Program Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will provide a broad range of complex program coordination, develop and promote assigned programs, design, budget, staff, logistics and other support functions, and implement new research strategies for specific projects. The role facilitates the administration of departmental activities, including recruiting and onboarding, follow‑up with study participants, IRB/OCT submissions, annual budget development, meeting scheduling, and organizing seminars, trainings, and related activities.
The incumbent works autonomously with limited oversight.
- Grant administration: prepare grant applications, reports, and research funding opportunities; manage grant proposals, reviews, contracts, budgets and compliance; coordinate with the Neurology Finance team and Directors of Operations for post‑award activities.
- Program support: recruit, hire, train, and supervise clerical and administrative staff and volunteers; conduct nationwide recruitment for study participants; phone screening, data collection and records keeping.
- Scheduling & coordination: organize and coordinate schedules, activities and special events; manage conference logistics and technical support; oversee staff assigned to these responsibilities.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Budget: develop and administer program budgets; manage resource allocation; assist with accounts payable/receivable; review sponsor‑proposed budgets, recommend changes and track study milestones.
- Project/program coordination: plan, prepare, organize, analyze, coordinate and deliver programs; coordinate with internal and external parties; develop training materials, educational curriculum, database management and user satisfaction surveys; provide statistical software training.
- Reporting: prepare and issue reports; analyze findings; generate status/progress reports; draft letters, memos, agendas, presentations and reports; oversee staff assigned to reporting.
- Research activities: gather and analyze data; respond to data requests; develop materials for training and educational sessions; manage trial start‑up activities; review study regulatory status; oversee IRB submissions and budget negotiations.
A Master’s Degree in business administration, health care administration or a related field; at least four years of progressively responsible related experience, including program or project coordination; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications; effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with all levels of management; independent and team orientation; strong time‑management and multitasking;
supervisory experience; experience with clinical trial coordination and pre‑ and post‑award grant administration.

Salary Range$84,577.93 – $ annually (actual salaries depend on experience, education and hospital need; does not include bonuses or other compensation).
