In partnership with the New York State Canal Corporation, the Erie Canal Museum seeks two Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence for a year-long residency exploring the Canal System, including the historic Erie Canal. Selected artists will address their projects within gallery-ready contexts, with strong emphasis on ancestry ties and Canal communities.
Residencies run Jan–Dec 2027; two artists will each receive a $10,000 stipend paid quarterly, with staff and facility access arranged through Canal
