Position: ASSISTANT BRAND MANAGER
Location: New York

Super exciting opportunity to work with a US Owned Home Fashions company that is growing! Been in business for 45 years. Works with numerous product categories in soft home. Great office environment and good benefits. This is NOT a WFH situation. This company is in the office 5 days a week. Room for growth.

We are seeking an Assistant Brand Manager with a data analyst background and a strong financial reporting orientation to support the day-to-day administrative, organizational, and analytical needs of the Brands & Growth division. This role is foundational to keeping our licensing and brand operations organized, on schedule, and data-driven. The ideal candidate brings strong financial and data analysis fundamentals along with the organizational skills to build and maintain the frameworks, calendars, and archives that keep the brand team and its cross-functional partners running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities Brand Data & Financial Reporting
  • Build and maintain a brand data framework, including sales performance, SKU counts, royalty tracking, and category-level reporting
  • Collect and analyze brand sales and licensing data across categories and channels
  • Prepare financial reporting by brand and category, including royalty accruals, sales-to-budget tracking, and margin/profitability summaries
  • Create monthly reports by brand and category, evaluating and analyzing performance trends
  • Create and manage Excel datasets, pivot tables, and dashboards to support brand, licensing, and financial analysis
  • Compile recurring and ad hoc reports for brand leadership and licensor partners
Calendaring & Project Coordination
  • Maintain brand and licensing calendars, including key launch dates, licensor deadlines, trade shows, and seasonal milestones
  • Extremely proficient in calendaring and project tracking using Airtable or
  • Coordinate scheduling for cross-functional meetings related to brand launches and ongoing programs
  • Track action items and follow-ups across brand projects to ensure timely completion
SVP & Executive Support
  • Set up and coordinate meetings for the SVP, Brands, Licensing & Creative
  • Keep the SVP's calendar organized, proactively managing scheduling conflicts and priorities
  • Take notes during key meetings and distribute clear, action-oriented summaries
Organization & Archiving
  • Organize and maintain brand documents, including style guides, licensor approvals, contracts summaries, and creative assets
  • Maintain an organized contact archive for licensor, vendor, and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Establish and maintain consistent file structures and naming conventions across brand programs
Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with internal sales, product development, sourcing, and planning teams on brand launches, providing administrative and coordination support
  • Track and communicate regular order status updates across active brand programs
  • Support the Senior Brand Manager with research, market scans, and preparation of brand and category materials
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in a financial analyst, data analyst, business analyst, or financial reporting role; consumer products or licensing experience a plus
  • Strong analytical foundation with the ability to build data frameworks, identify trends, and translate data into actionable insights for the brand team
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, and dashboard creation
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and proactively across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, design, product development, sourcing, and planning teams
  • Proactive, dependable, and resourceful with a strong sense of ownership over administrative processes
  • Collaboration is key, and execution is the number one metric
