Location: New York
At Franklin Templeton, we believe success is built through powerful partnerships. As a forward thinking asset manager, we build dynamic relationships with clients, understand their goals, and navigate complex markets together. We leverage cutting edge strategies and deep insights to unlock opportunities for long term wealth creation. Our talented, global teams bring expertise that is both broad and unique.
From our welcoming, inclusive, and supportive culture to our globally diverse business, we offer opportunities not only to help you reach your potential, but also to contribute to our clients' success.
About the Department
Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) delivers customized investment solutions across public and private markets. FTIS provides advice on governance, objective setting, strategic and dynamic asset allocation, risk budgeting, portfolio construction and manager selection, and can take implementation discretion where clients prefer a discretionary model, to support institutional clients pursuing complex objectives.
Position Summary
We're seeking a Solutions Relationships Manager to manage our relationships with the OCIO third party evaluator (TPE) / search consultant community. We have identified more than 50 firms in this community, employing more than 500 relevant professionals in total.
This role is responsible for ensuring FTIS' OCIO and broader solutions capabilities are accurately understood, consistently positioned, and effectively represented across the TPE community. The Solutions Relationships Manager will serve as the primary liaison between TPEs and our firm.
How you will add value
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Serve as FTIS' primary point of contact for third party evaluators (TPE).
- Develop a strong understanding of each TPE's coverage model and approval processes.
- Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with TPE search and monitoring teams.
- Obtain coaching from TPE contacts at key points during a pursuit, as well as useful constructive feedback for both won and lost opportunities.
- Manage third party evaluator reviews, updates, and recurring evaluations.
- Coordinate and participate in TPE meetings including due diligence sessions.
- Ensure TPEs have timely access to investment insight, updates, and market perspectives from FTIS and the broader Franklin Templeton organization.
- Design and manage a program to create meaningful interactions with professionals at TPEs in order to build relationships between FTIS and TPE professionals.
- Contribute to the development and articulation of Franklin's behavioral/experiential brand for OCIO. This includes the value proposition elements our OCIO team is explicitly trying to deliver to clients, and which we will articulate to the prospect and TPE communities, knowing our clients are likely to reference this language in reference checks. As we work to establish and improve this branding, obtain constructive feedback from the TPE community on what is resonating and deemed credible with them, and with their end clients, and where there may be need for improvement in either articulation or demonstration of proof points.
- Contribute to responses to TPE DDQs and RFPs.
- Maintain registration on TPE databases and platforms.
- Partner closely with investment, product, risk, compliance, and legal teams to deliver accurate, consistent, and compliant responses.
- Try to ensure that as our relevant OCIO professionals travel, speak at conferences, etc., they take advantage of opportunities to interact with TPE professionals.
- Identify opportunities to invite TPE professionals to broader FT events as well as OCIO-specific events.
