Senior Business Manager, PG&C and Legal COO, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., New York, NY:
Provide strategic support to the PG&C and Legal COO. Act as a strategic thought partner to the Executive on tactical and long‑term matters, including business planning and priority setting. Leverage data and analytics to generate insights for decision-making and operational improvements. Prepare for Quarterly Business Reviews aligned with strategic priorities. Support annual financial planning as needed. Build strategic outsourcing models for the team including building offshoring operating models that can operate seamlessly with headquartered global teams in order to deliver cost, process and performance efficiencies.
Support organizational design work, including any recruiting activities. Facilitate internal communications, including preparing agendas, leading meetings, cascading updates, and ensuring alignment across the team. Facilitate and support People‑related processes across the team, including compensation or promotions. Streamline internal processes and workflows to boost efficiency, productivity, and scalability by leveraging low‑code solutions and responsible AI initiatives. Keep a strong pulse on the fast‑moving Generative AI landscape.
Ensure that all staff and activities across the global team comply with all internal global policies, compliance, and audit requirements. Continually reassess and address any operational, regulatory and legal risks.
Telecommuting permitted up to 50%.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $265,001 to $275,001 per year.
International travel required up to 5%.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, plus 8 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate related work experience.
Must have 7 years of experience in:- Managing projects by defining step‑by‑step timelines, KPIs, milestones, and ownership for key strategic initiatives and following up with project owners to ensure timely completion.
- Data analysis and visualization in designing and operationalizing dashboards and visuals, including year‑over‑year trends.
- Financial planning and cost management, instilling cost discipline measures on project teams and setting KPIs to deliver financial budget.
- Process optimisation, including road‑mapping and rationalization, and implementation.
- Creating location strategies, including strategic reviews, work force planning, budget forecasting.
- Developing organisational design, including strategic outsourcing and offshoring.
- Leading communications and training associated with technology implementation projects.
Must have 3 years of experience in:
- Product management, bridging the technology gap and connecting needs of employees with technology capabilities.
- Service Now.
- Low‑code and no‑code software solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve employee experiences based on AI innovation.
- A multi‑jurisdictional, regulated, matrixed financial services organisation.
- Developing AI strategy or initiatives.
