Our client seeks a Functional Project Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement transformation initiatives across COE and Technology categories. The role will facilitate end-to-end procurement processes, align priorities with senior leaders, drive supplier optimization, and enable data-driven decision making to deliver measurable value. The Project Manager will manage multiple concurrent projects, promote cross-functional teamwork, and champion innovation, including practical applications of technology and AI to improve processes.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across diverse categories from opportunity identification through contract execution and supplier optimization.
  • Drive projects in category-specific and cross-category initiatives with focus on COE and Technology.
  • Partner with senior leaders in finance, legal, and operations to align procurement priorities.
  • Ensure transparency and build consensus across stakeholders.
  • Build relationships across the organization to expedite procurement initiatives and support business partners.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and business unit leaders.
  • Create measurable value through cost reduction and demand management.
  • Ensure proficient operations that lead to sustainable savings.
  • Analyze complex data sets to generate insights and recommendations for improved outcomes.
  • Drive supplier risk management and compliance aligned to governance standards.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement in procurement practices.
  • Identify creative applications of technology and AI to enhance processes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing strategic and operational priorities.
  • Promote cross-functional teamwork to align procurement with business goals.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities and deliver long-term value.
Experience Requirements
  • 8 to 10 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Proven success collaborating with and influencing senior leaders in matrixed environments.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to operate with agility and deliver results in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Functional project management focus, including procurement transformation and AI initiatives supporting COE and Technology categories.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
