Job Summary:

Join a premier global law firm and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of business development excellence. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development Training to design and lead a firmwide training program that empowers attorneys to strengthen client relationships, expand business opportunities, and accelerate professional growth.

This newly created, high-impact role offers the opportunity to build a best-in-class business development curriculum from the ground up while partnering with firm leadership to align training initiatives with strategic growth objectives.

• Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive business development training curriculum for associates and partners across the firm.
• Create structured learning pathways that build skills ranging from networking and relationship management to client origination, cross-selling, and revenue growth strategies.
• Partner with Business Development Directors to develop practice-specific programming aligned with business objectives and attorney development plans.
• Build and curate a repository of business development best practices, success stories, and client development case studies.
• Ensure all training content reflects the firm's brand, market position, and client service strategy.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance curriculum effectiveness using feedback, engagement metrics, and performance data.
• Manage the annual business development training calendar across multiple offices and delivery formats, including virtual and in-person programs.
• Facilitate training sessions and coordinate programming delivered by attorneys, business development professionals, professional development teams, and external consultants.
• Collaborate with Professional Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and firm leadership to integrate business development training into broader attorney development initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in business development, professional services marketing, attorney development, learning and development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience coaching attorneys and supporting individual business development plans.
• Expertise in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and training program development.
• Experience designing and leading learning initiatives within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of business development principles, client service, and relationship management within professional services organizations.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, experience management systems, and AI-powered productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to transform complex concepts into practical, actionable learning experiences.
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
