RTW Investments – Recent PressRole Overview
The Vice President will work with the Managing Director and New Ventures team to identify and evaluation opportunities for company creation. The Vice President will be responsible for developing investment theses for drug acquisition targets within given therapeutic area(s).
This position is full‑time and reports to the Managing Director, New Ventures.
Key Responsibilities- Source and maintain a pipeline of novel drug development ideas for New Cos within given therapeutic area(s)
- Conduct proprietary research to analyze assets across science, disease, commercial, IP, CMC, clin dev, regulatory, and valuation verticals.
- Write, pitch, and maintain investment notes for company ideas
- Build pitch deck including recommended deal terms, clinical development, and financing
- Develop expertise within therapeutic area(s) of coverage
- Attend all relevant medical, banking and partnering conferences
- Convert ideas into New Cos with successful PnL
- Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree (MD or PhD) strongly preferred. All applicants MUST have a degree in and a strong understanding of biological sciences.
- 5+ years of experience focused on the biotech/pharmaceutical sector, buy‑side role preferred
