Lead Product Manager
Location: New York, NY (3 days/wk in-office)
About SunfishSunfish is a fast-growing, venture-backed Series A health tech startup. Our mission is to make the parenthood journey easy and affordable to help everyone build the family of their dreams. Used by leading fertility clinics throughout the United States, we help patients navigate and afford treatments. Our company ingests unique patient biodata to support patients using AI/ML. Sunfish’s team is composed of individuals with backgrounds in fertility, health tech, insurtech, and fintech – all with a shared passion for bringing equity to family building.
And we’ve done this before – our executive team has had 19 exits and 4 IPOs to date.
We move fast, care deeply about our clinic partners and patients, and believe that great products start with a deep understanding of the people they serve. As we scale, we are looking for a Lead Product Manager who is equal parts strategist and executor, someone who takes pride in shipping products that measurably improve the lives of families navigating one of their most important journeys.
This is a high-ownership, hands-on role that sits at the intersection of clinic and patient experience. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Commercial teams to define what we build, drive it to launch, and iterate relentlessly based on evidence.
The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment: you are comfortable with ambiguity, you hold yourself to a high bar for product quality and customer outcomes, and you bring the strategic depth and executional horsepower to take a product from zero to one.
You are someone who doesn't just use AI tools, you think deeply about how AI can change what's possible in the product, the process, and the team. Experience in health tech, fintech, or other regulated industries where trust and transparency are non-negotiable is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:Roadmap & Strategy
Execute the product strategy translating it into a clear, prioritized plan with measurable outcomes
Identify opportunities through market analysis, user research, and data, and make sharp tradeoff decisions that reflect both customer needs and business priorities
Develop high-quality product artifacts e.g., briefs, PRDs, user stories, prototypes, and specs, that bring clarity and move teams forward, leveraging AI tools to produce and iterate on these faster than traditional workflows allow
Define and track the KPIs that matter for your domain, and own reporting on progress against them
Conduct continuous discovery: run user interviews, synthesize behavioral and operational data, and turn insights into high-conviction product decisions
Use AI tools to accelerate and deepen research, from generating interview guides and synthesizing transcripts to identifying patterns across qualitative feedback at scale
Conduct competitive and market research to identify gaps, emerging patterns, and opportunities to differentiate
Champion the voice of the customer in every room, grounded in evidence, not assumption
Drive the full product development lifecycle in close partnership with Engineering and Design, from problem definition through launch and iteration
Own sprint-level execution: participate in planning, unblock teams, make real-time scope decisions, and keep delivery on track
Actively use AI-assisted prototyping and mockup tools to accelerate design feedback cycles and reduce time from idea to testable artifact
Identify and test product and growth levers through structured experimentation, with a bias toward fast, learning-oriented cycles
Ensure operational readiness for launches,…
