We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Finance & Operations - Nursing & PCS (3 yrs supervisory exp highly preferred!). In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations, manages, plans, organizes, evaluates, and supports the overall operating budgets for the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services at NYU Langone Health.

Is responsible for supervising administrative support staff. Participates in the ongoing process of identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Works to improve collaboration, communication, and implementation of sustainable labor and capital improvement projects within the hospital and supports the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services Operations by contributing to the development, implementation, and success of hospital-wide operational projects and initiatives.

Coordinates the monitoring and review of all applicable statistical and financial reports and metrics.

• Supervises staff with responsibility for all personnel-related activities, with the authority to hire, evaluate, discipline, and terminate. Delegates assignments efficiently and monitors them through completion, defining expected outcomes and time parameters to employees. Allocates resources appropriately to ensure tasks are accomplished in a timely manner. Distributes assignments equitably and allocates resources appropriately. Establishes unit administrative procedures to be followed on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare and assemble analyses of budget and financial reports.
• Assists in developing and incorporating new tools and streamlined processes to increase productivity.
• Coordinates the preparation of labor productivity reports to monitor and analyze statistical variances forthe department's position control.
• Facilitates data requests, analyzes data, and develops reports that monitor and track key labor and capital spends against target.
• Monitor and maintain staffing requirements, variances, and projections for the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Support budgeting, staffing, and finance operations for the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Implement process redesigns to improve staffing efficiency.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on financial operations for Nursing Leadership.
• Support nursing departments in establishing budgeted staffing models and develop tools to monitor and track labor productivity and expenses.
• Monitor and track capital equipment purchasing needs for the Department.
• Design and complete complex analysis to inform leadership decision-making regarding Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services operations/financial performance.
• Support Hospital Operations Project Management Office (HOPMO) as a liaison to Nursing for strategic initiatives and key projects.
• Coordinate staffing, budgeting, and finance communication between Nursing, Operations, MCIT, and Finance.
• Assemble and maintain project plans and documentation of project progress using standardized project management tools, in accordance with NYU Langone Hospitals guidelines.
• Manage project meetings using project plans to meet key deadlines and ensure project progress.
• Monitor project progress, tracking key milestones, using Microsoft Project Professional and/or other project management tools to meet project needs.
