We’re seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Counsel to oversee Fora’s global regulatory compliance, including data and privacy. This is a strategic role in a high-growth technology environment presenting an opportunity to own and build the regulatory and compliance framework for international expansion. As Fora’s international footprint grows, this role will have the opportunity to build and lead a regulatory compliance function, including hiring additional regulatory operations support.

Legal & Regulatory Strategy

• Lead and evaluate regulatory research and corporate structuring to inform the international expansion strategy
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the International Team in evaluating new markets, and providing pragmatic guidance that enables business priorities
• Assess licensing and compliance requirements (e.g., package travel regulations, payments, data privacy regimes, seller-of-travel laws) for each target market and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for the business
• Manage and coordinate local counsel across multiple jurisdictions, synthesizing their input into a coherent internal strategy with clear recommendations for internal stakeholders
• Build lightweight, scalable processes for monitoring regulatory changes across active and prospective markets

Operations

• Digest regulatory and legal requirements into tangible requirements and partner with International, Product and Operations teams on implementation
• Review training materials and resources to ensure advisors understand their local licensing/regulatory responsibilities
• Develop policies, playbooks, legal templates and frameworks that standardize regulatory operations across markets
• Help define the long‑term organizational structure and capabilities needed to support Fora’s global regulatory obligations

Compliance

• Provide compliance oversight, including conducting risk assessments and driving compliance initiatives that ensure we’re operating effectively while adhering to applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
