We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

• Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
• Design a daily and weekly activities schedule
• Provide basic care:
  Cooking AM snack, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.
• Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Brightwheel & Teachers Strategies Gold online.
• Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities and required documentation for active enrollment
• Attend in staff meeting bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching
• Conduct bimonthly Queens Community House coaching visits
• Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.

• Previous a minimum of 2 years experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Patient, kind, and nurturing
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids.
• First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.
• ASS or higher in early childhood or Family Childcare CDA
