Overview
A garage concrete slab project in Nassau Channery Silt Loam Soil. Internal area 10'x18', to be built at the exact location where a garage foundation has sat since 1942.
Project Details- Existing foundation present since 1942; consider reusing existing concrete where feasible (left long edge overgrown with weeds; front lip cracked; right edge appears solid).
- Standard 5" concrete slab construction; depth along edges and footers to 48" per Town of Colonie, NY.
- Pour and finish a 5" concrete slab with edge depth and footer depth per code.
- Assess feasibility of reusing existing concrete and perform necessary remediation if reuse is not feasible.
- Coordinate site preparation, pour timing, curing, and final surface finish.
- Experience with residential slab construction and local code requirements (Town of Colonie, NY).
- Ability to evaluate existing concrete and determine feasibility of reuse.
