Estimator - Ornamental Metals

Our client is a highly respected architectural glass and façade contractor operating across NYC and the Tri-State area, recognized for delivering complex storefront, curtain wall, and engineered façade projects. They work on high-profile commercial developments and offer full lifecycle involvement, from take-offs and detailed estimating to vendor coordination and bid management.

• Review construction documents to understand scope of work for exterior and interior projects.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed estimates for materials and labor.
• Communicate effectively with general contractors to clarify project requirements and scope.
• Provide detailed pricing using estimating programs and external vendor quotes.
• Create RFI/Bid Clarifications and detailed bid proposals, including all quantities, sizes, and locations.
• Configure shop and field labor for each scope item.
• Prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate bid submissions.
• Maintain bid tracking systems and assist with updating project files.

• Minimum 3 years estimating experience in glazing, exterior metal panels, ornamental metals, or decorative glazing.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel; familiarity with Logikal or Partner Pak is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and project management processes.
• Experience bidding for organized contractors with deadlines (e.g., Structure Tone, Turner, Lend Lease).
• Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to close work efficiently.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant industry experience may substitute.
