Construction Superintendent

Overview

Infinity Contracting Services Corp is actively seeking a highly motivated Superintendent for a construction project(s) located in the five boroughs of New York City.

Title:

Construction Superintendent

• Adhere and support the organization’s safety, observing OSHA and all state-level agency regulations (MTA, SCA, etc.)
• Enforce orientation of job-specific training (scaffolding, aerial lift training, etc.) on-site
• Create and manage safety-related documents
• Facilitate external/internal inspections
• Host Toolbox talks and train new employees on safety standards
• Identify potential safety risks and protect workers against possible hazards
• Verify existing field conditions and report changes to affected parties
• Establish and enforce acceptable levels of workmanship and good practices
• Inspect materials for conformance against approved documents and specifications
• Identify subcontractors NCRs, communicate across project stakeholders and ensure compliance
• Identify and address punch-list items
• Plan and direct construction activities of the subcontractors, laborers, and other staff as assigned
• Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to construction schedule and budget
• Identify, order and manage resources required to finish company self-performed activities
• Assign daily tasks to field laborers
• Maintain relationships with customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, superiors, and project team
• Hire and layoff field labor
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution
• Initiate and communicate with project team RFIs, Submittals, and potential COs
• Arrange on-site rigging, equipment, and material deliveries
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path to ensure timely completion
• Attend meetings with Construction Manager/client
• Prepare daily reports
• Collect and submit payroll documentation

• 2+ year(s) superintendent and/or foreman experience
• 5 years of construction-related experience.
• Possession of SST
  62
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Excellent time management skills.
