- 5+ years of experience in Construction/MEP
- Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low‑voltage systems
- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred
- Experienced dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors
- Have proven track record as a Project Manager on projects with large MEP scopes
- Lead Scope Reviews for MEP trades during Preconstruction and assist the Estimator
- Reports directly to Shawmut Construction Project Leadership appraising of any issues or concerns with respect to the MEPS trades/scopes of work.
- Working with the MEPS Superintendents, manages day to day MEPS activities to ensure that the subcontractors are on schedule and on site with the required manpower and materials.
- Attends weekly project meetings regularly reporting the project status to the Client, and the Design Team.
- Prepares and evaluates project budgets, and schedules
- Reviews, and evaluates scope changes and if required issue change orders for added scope expeditiously
- Regularly meets with subcontractors to assess progress of work and address any schedule concerns, or performance issues
- Works closely with the Project Accountant to ensure subcontractor requisitions are accurate and submitted on time to insure timely payment applications
