Currently partnered with highly regarded, NYC-based General Contractor with a strong national footprint. This firm is recognized for delivering complex, large-scale projects across a diverse portfolio including corporate, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, life sciences, mission critical, retail, and sports & entertainment sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team.
Position OverviewThe Senior Estimator will play a critical role in preparing and overseeing comprehensive cost estimates across multiple sectors. This individual will collaborate closely with executive leadership, preconstruction teams, and operations to ensure competitive, accurate, and strategic bidding efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead detailed quantity takeoffs and full project cost estimates
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope gaps and risk exposure
- Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor proposals
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and GMP-level estimates
- Support value engineering initiatives and cost analysis reporting
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and executive presentations
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to best practices within the department
- 10+ years of estimating experience with a reputable general contractor
- Proven experience on large-scale commercial and institutional projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Base salary up to $200,000 (flexible depending on experience)
