Operations Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced Sitework Project Leader to join their sitework team in an onsite leadership role. - Compensation: $35–$39/hour, depending on experience
- Up to 12 hours a day for overtime pay

As a Sitework Project Leader, you’ll be on the front lines making sure crews are running efficiently and safely while hitting quality and production goals. You'll operate heavy equipment, plan ahead for project needs, communicate across teams, and play a key role in delivering successful outcomes on every job.
Responsibilities include:- Lead a crew in completing full-scope sitework projects
- Operate and instruct others on equipment such as loaders, skid steers, excavators, dozers, and haul trucks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Schreiber safety standards
- Interpret project drawings and scope, and ensure work aligns with production and quality targets
- Set up, troubleshoot, and teach the use of GPS, laser, and pipe laser equipment
- Maintain jobsite organization including tools, paperwork, and materials
- Communicate with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Submit accurate and timely reports (T&Ms, change orders, production logs, timecards, etc.)
- Make sound decisions based on cost, timelines, and team input
- Plan ahead for materials, manpower, and workflow
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience leading sitework crews in heavy civil or excavation projects
- 2+ years of commercial site work projects experience, installing sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water line, etc.
- 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining an excavator and bulldozer
- 2+ years of experience with GPS (for machine control) or laser setup for excavation
- Ability to read and interpret civil site drawings or blueprints
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and team‑focused
- Ability to use iPads or tablets for timecards, production tracking, or viewing plans
- Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
