Job Summary
This opportunity is exclusive to U.S. military members currently serving on active duty and eligible for the DoD Skill Bridge Program. This is not a civilian or student internship.

Assistant Superintendent
The Assistant Superintendent supports daily field operations and works alongside the Superintendent to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules on complex construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting with trade coordination, material tracking, site logistics, and safety compliance. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to support overall site operations as needed.

• Demonstrate interest in construction management or the construction industry
• Have served at least 180 days on active duty
• Be eligible to participate during the final six months of military service prior to separation or retirement
• Be expected to receive an honorable discharge
• Have completed the Transition Assistance Program (TAP/TGPS)
• Have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
• Received written authorization and approval from a Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) to participate in DoD Skill Bridge Program prior to the start of the internship

Computer Systems

• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project and Procore (preferred but not required)

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship through the Department of Defense (DoD) Skill Bridge Program. The intern selected for this role will not receive compensation or benefits from JRM Construction Management and will not be an employee, agent, or contractor of JRM Construction Management but will remain an employee of the DoD and receive compensation and benefits through the DoD. Skill Bridge graduates hired into an Assistant Superintendent role in New York City can expect a salary range of $65,000 to $90,000.
