DescriptionImmediate need for Intermediate to Senior Level Superintendents to work on various MTA projects. Extensive site work monitoring construction and construction workers on-site wherever MTA travels.
Responsibilities- The candidates will act as Superintendents or Supervisors to small and mid-size contractors and their construction workers on a variety of MTA projects.
- The construction superintendents will communicate directly with the construction workers.
- The superintendents will monitor several projects simultaneously.
- Projects could range from station platforms, to lighting, to stairwells, to outside drainage grates.
- Should have construction experience with the work of the MTA or similar public agencies.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in managing or monitoring construction projects.
- Shall have managed, supervised, or monitored a minimum of five projects of at least $2 million each or more.
- Should have experience supervising similar infrastructure projects.
- Must be degreed.
- Should have the ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings, shop drawings, etc.
- Should have had training and experience in safety and quality assurance.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
