Primary Responsibilities
HDR's Resident Project Representative will serve as the Resident Project Representative for infrastructure projects, including transit and transportation systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting construction drawings and engineering specifications, identifying and resolving discrepancies, managing and overseeing large-scale construction projects such as MTA Program Management/Construction Management (PMC/CCM) or similar projects, reviewing and accepting technical documents, submittals, and reports on behalf of the client, maintaining accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials, reviewing construction materials for compliance with contract requirements, tracking quantities and preparing pay estimates for acceptance, attending and/or chairing construction progress meetings, observing installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems, identifying nonconforming work, developing and maintaining project punch lists until corrected, preparing record documentation for engineer review and acceptance, assisting with project audits and closeout activities, and directing and overseeing the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives, Construction Inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants as needed.
Required Qualifications- A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in construction management for infrastructure projects or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in construction management for infrastructure projects.
- Experience must include 2 years of experience in transit infrastructure projects.
- Experience must also include experience in repairing construction drawings and specifications; structural design and analysis using AutoCAD, GT STRUDL, SAP
2000, ETABS, and RAM; project management tool Primavera P6; document control systems such as ASITE, Procore, e-Builder, or equivalent; preparing cost estimates and progress reports; conducting field inspections for site conditions, construction progress, assessing quality, and confirming compliance with codes and specifications; and managing project close-out process. - May require daily travel to various currently unknown field site locations within the New York City metropolitan area and/or regular monthly travel to currently unknown locations within the State of New York.

Pay Range: $142,750 to $158,750 per year.
