Description

The Senior VP will oversee all aspects of design, development, and construction for a large-scale missed-use complex in Queens. This candidate will be responsible for project delivery from conceptual design through turnover. The ideal candidate brings a track record of successfully managing full lifecycle delivery of large commercial or mixed-use projects in NYC.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of project execution from entitlement, design, and preconstruction through construction and delivery.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies.
  • Serve as primary project executive representing the owner’s interests.
  • Oversee and coordinate design consultants to ensure design aligns with objectives and budget.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive preconstruction plan.
  • Oversee preparation of bid packages and ensure competitive pricing throughout.
  • Provide executive direction and oversight to construction manager.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain overall project budget and scheduling.
  • Direct permitting processes with NYC agencies (DOB, DOT, DEP, FDNY, etc.)
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects
  • Proven leadership of full project lifecycle, from design through construction and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes, zoning, and agency approval process.
  • Experience managing 3rd party construction managers and multiple design consultants.
  • Exceptional budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
