Our client is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Manager to join their growing team in New York, NY.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This individual will manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, procurement, permitting, client communication, and overall project execution to ensure successful delivery aligned with company standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and experienced managing fast-track commercial interior construction projects within New York City.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from award through completion
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, landlords, and expeditors
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement tracking
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders
- Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Monitor project progress, quality control, and site safety compliance
- Coordinate DOB filings, inspections, utility requirements, and project closeouts
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Support accounting and billing processes including AIA applications, change management, and subcontractor invoicing
- Work closely with field teams to proactively resolve construction and logistical challenges
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management preferred
- Experience managing interior fit-out and fast-paced NYC construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and logistics
- Familiarity with NYC DOB processes, permitting, and inspections
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
- Experience with AIA billing, change orders, and subcontractor coordination preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
