Job Description – Full-time.
Location:
Brooklyn, NY.
We're a growing construction company seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team. You'll leverage your expertise in cost estimation, project management, and scope development to drive successful project delivery.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for complex construction projects
- Write, interpret, and manage project scopes with clients and stakeholders
- Host and lead meetings with design professionals (architects, engineers, consultants) to develop project-specific scope and budgets
- Conduct interviews with design professionals and subcontractors to qualify them for project scope
- Assess technical capabilities, experience, and fit for project requirements
- Draft and modify agreements, contracts, and scopes of work for executable hiring documents
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment
- Develop and implement process improvements for estimating and project management
- Mentor junior estimators and project managers
- Analyze project bids and propose adjustments as needed
- 5+ years of construction estimation and project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Expertise in construction cost estimation software (e.g., Procore, Plan Swift)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scope development, stakeholder management, and contracts
- Strong analytical, leadership, and meeting facilitation skills
- Certified Construction Estimator (CCE) or Certified Professional Construction Manager (CPCM) certification
- Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects
- Familiarity with contract drafting and AIA documents
- Competitive salary ($120,000 - $150,000/year) based on experience
