Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager is accountable for the management of all aspects of assigned projects, including pre‑construction services, transition from estimating through construction execution, and final construction completion, commissioning, and facility warranty. Travel to the geographic regions serviced by CM&B is an expected and required component of the Sr. Project Manager’s role. The Sr. Project Manager reports directly to Steve Malenchini, Executive Vice President/Operations Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead project team to success by providing clear direction and support to superintendents, field staff, project managers, project coordinators, administration, and accounting
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with short‑duration schedules; average project length is 3‑12 months
- Create and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the CM&B team
- Accomplish project results through complete comprehension of project scope and requirements, establishing and maintaining site standards and protocols, allocating and managing project resources, evaluating construction progress, resolving design issues, evaluating and implementing changes, and being resourceful and assertive at all times as a manager
- Provide pre‑construction support in collaboration with the Estimating team, including assisting with conceptual scopes of work, budgeting input, and development of preliminary overall project schedules as assigned
- Partner with Estimating to support assigned projects through activities such as subcontractor bid list coordination, quantity take‑offs, and input on general conditions, supervision, concrete, carpentry, specialties, and overall project estimates
- Prepare and execute construction contracts, including the Owner contract, before construction commencement
- Ensure insurances and bonding, including confirmation of Owner requirements, initiation of requests for insurance certificates to Owner, and Owner’s Builder’s Risk Insurance coverage
- Project permitting
- Preparation of subcontracts and purchase orders, including scope development, subcontractor and material supplier buy strategies and negotiations, subcontract preparation, and all accountability for required subcontractor deliverables (insurances, supplier/vendor listings, joint check agreements, etc.)
- Project safety, including management of consultant services, site‑specific job hazard analysis, and accomplishment of start‑to‑finish site safety objectives
- Training and mentoring of new hires and current employees

Qualifications- B.S. in Construction Management or related field
- 8+ years’ experience in the construction field
- Knowledge of Procore, MS Project, Blue Beam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Professional communication skills with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships within the CM&B team and with outside clients, subcontractors and vendors
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
