Special Inspector, ICC-Certified

Job Description

Kleinfelder's Ontario, CA and Cerritos, CA offices are seeking multi-certified ICC Special Inspectors to join our Southern California team. The role involves performing routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The inspector will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of their supervisor.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, a clean driving record, documented receipt of a COVID‑19 vaccine, current flu shot, ability to pass a background check and/or Live Scan fingerprinting, and willingness to travel throughout Southern California.

• ICC reinforced concrete certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I

• ICC certifications
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• County of Los Angeles certifications
• Los Angeles City certifications
• Nuclear gauge training and soils testing experience

• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills written and verbal
• Proficient with computers and general knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and photo management software
• Ability to learn and adapt to technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Salary:
Hourly range $26.51 – $44.23, displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final compensation will be based upon qualifications and experience.
