Construction Billing Specialist / Accounts Receivable Specialist
Long Island, NY (Fully Onsite)
$60,000-$90,000
About the RoleA well-established, industry-leading company in the commercial equipment and construction space is looking to add a Construction Billing Specialist / Accounts Receivable Specialist to its growing team.
This role is heavily focused on managing the monthly requisition process across dozens of active projects, including AIA billing, collections, lien waivers, and payment tracking. It's ideal for someone who has worked in the receivables department of a busy subcontractor and understands the complexities of construction billing.
What You'll Be Doing- Prepare, assemble, submit, and track AIA billing packages (G702/G703)
- Manage monthly requisitions across a large volume of active projects
- Coordinate lien waivers, stored materials documentation, certified payroll requirements, and OCIP/CCIP compliance
- Work within Textura, GC Pay, Procure, Procore, and similar construction billing platforms
- Reconcile contract values, change orders, and system invoicing
- Own the collections process, including payment follow-up and retainage tracking
- Communicate with general contractors, project managers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate project billing documentation and records
- Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment
- 3+ years of construction billing, accounts receivable, or project billing experience
- Hands‑on experience with AIA billing (G702/G703)
- Background working for a subcontractor or construction‑related business strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of requisition packages, waivers, retainage, stored materials, and collections
- Experience using Textura, GC Pay, Procure, Procore, or similar systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working onsite, 5 days a week in Long Island
- Established, stable business with a strong industry reputation
