The Construction Project Manager (New York Based) is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Manhattan, NY. This role is responsible for managing construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Construction Project Manager will oversee day‑to‑day site activities, monitor progress and quality, manage change orders and RFIs, and ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and local regulations.
The role includes preparing and maintaining project documentation, cost reports, and progress updates, as well as leading project meetings and addressing issues that may impact schedule, cost, or quality. The Construction Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to align expectations, mitigate risks, and deliver projects successfully and efficiently.
- 5+ years of Experience
- Strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management, with experience overseeing projects from planning through closeout.
- Proficiency in Project Management and Project Coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Demonstrated experience with Budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead meetings and coordinate diverse teams.
- Proven ability to work on‑site in Manhattan, NY, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience managing commercial, infrastructure, or large‑scale construction projects in New York City is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED) are a plus.
